I love watching the Bears defense play but I'm tired of watching them carry the entire team. Time for the offense to get their act together and utilize their resources! Let's get it together, offense!

Did anyone else, besides the Panthers Defense, and me, that Orton let everyone know who he was planning on throwing the ball to on pass plays? I don't think he even realized he did it but, the pass to Bradley and Booker were signaled by Kyle. Plus I don't think it helped the bears when fromer bear defensive players were letting the defense know what offensive plays were being called. It seemed like the defense didn't read the Panthers offense well in the second half. Overall, I think the Bears played okay; they need to keep up the momentum throughout the game.

Ditka, mostly, advocates the running game. I couldn%u2019t disagree more. I advocate reciprocity. Ditka will say, %u201CThe Bears have to work on running the ball; they had three chances to get one yard.%u201D I say, work on your passing game and you%u2019ll get that yard. The NFL is predicated on schemes and smoke and mirrors, especially when teams are evenly matched. Ditka had the luxury of a defense that outmatched every offense in the NFL. I still contend Miami%u2019s O-Line held every play that year in 1985. The Panthers stole the game today, irrespective of Bear penalties and turnovers. Failing on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th and one yard to go is an unmitigated tragedy. It%u2019s a poor Bear organization losing personnel and playing the wrong personnel. Where is Mushin, Bernard, and Justin? Rashid Davis always made key 3rd down receptions because they were double covering Mushin and the FS had to keep an eye on Berrian flying deep. Lastly, if you rely on your defense to score your points, you%u2019re coaching the wrong game in the wrong league.

I'm sick of all the football writers talking about the superior abilities of Grossman over Orton. You can have all the ability in theworld but if your too scared to move in the pocket what good is it. All Kyle does is win!

I'm 28 and been a DIE HARD Bears fan all my life. I'm a Chicagoan living in Indianapolis now and I wear my jerseys and hats with pride. I hate the Colts and their fans, but I respect teams like the Colts because they build powerful offenses. My comment is, when's it gonna register to the high ups in the Bears organization that this is not the 80's anymore where powerful defenses can rule? Look at the elite teams in the NFL today and you will see great quarterbacks, compiled with respectable running games, and most of these teams have gotten their defenses to perform when it counts. Don't get me wrong, I love a great defense and love smash mouth football. But how about a little finesse in the offensive scheme? Ron Turner wasn't the greatest at Illinois but has proven to be a simple minded boring offensive coordinator. And shame on the executives for continuing to allow sub par offenses throughout the years. It's sickening to have to sit back and hope Hester can score on a kick return to keep us in the game. I'll tell you what people.... This fan is really frustrated with these very offesive offenses! Spend some money on some weapons or draft some promising prospects on the scoring side. Whats happenening in Philadelphia? Bring McNabb back home, get Michael Turner, work on the o-line, and the defense will do just fine, even without Lance Briggs. Bring some excitement back to the city and team that I love! Please!

I think Rex should be resigned to the bears and the problem for the bears this season maybe for the large amounts of injuries. I remember there was a game where around 5 starters were injured in the first few games. The running game is also very bad this year with only Benson but he did start to do good before he was injured. and for the record, I was rooting for Rex since the beginning I didnt see a reason to switch in Griese in the 4th game. Urlacher is doing really well in the last two games despite the media jumping on his back problems. The chain that I saw was that since Jones was traded away and Peterson was not a proven good running back, Rex's choices were limited to throwing since Benson could not get the first downs. Since Rex was throwing more, he was more likely to get intercepted as Benson sometimes lost yards when he ran and Rex was trying to go for the first downs on the throws. By this reasoning, it is the running game that brought the downfall. Im sure that there are lots of other reasons, just my thoughts and would like to hear other bears fans comment on the bears this season :)
