CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio 780) -- A power outage late Mondays morning affected several floors of the tallest building in America.
The Sears Tower - at 110 stories - was once the tallest building in the world.
WBBM's Steve Miller reports somewhere between 10 to 20 of those floors lost their lighting for about half an hour, according to Sears Tower spokesman Mark Spencer.
Spencer says the power outage only affected overhead lighting on floors about mid-way up on the North side of the Sears Tower.
Spencer says elevators were not affected.
He says the outage lasted for about half an hour, and he says emergency lighting took over during that time.
Spencer says Comed crews had been doing some work over the weekend and there was a glitch in the system.
All but two of the floors reportedly had their power restored by 12:30 p.m.
