Fire damages Naperville flower shop

NAPERVILLE (STNG)  -- A sign on the roof of a business caught fire Saturday afternoon, resulting in a structure fire that was electrical in nature, Naperville Fire Battalion Chief Gary Burke said.

Naperville firefighters responded to a call at 5:22 p.m. Saturday to a sign on fire at the Phillip's Flowers and Gifts shop at 1007 E. Ogden Ave. in Naperville.

The structure fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes. No one was injured.

Firefighters stayed on scene for about two hours to protect merchandise within the shop, Burke said.

The value of the damage was not known Saturday, but the façade of the building and part of its roof were burned.
