Southbound Red Line trains skipping three stations through Saturday night
|
CHICAGO (STNG) -- Track maintenance work on three CTA Red Line stations in the Edgewater and Rogers Park neighborhoods has caused trains heading south to skip those stations, until Saturday evening.
The work affects the Granville, Thorndale and Bryn Mawr stations, according to a release from the CTA. Trains began bypassing the three stations at 10 p.m. Friday, and they will continue to do so until 6 p.m. Saturday. Northbound Red Line service is not affected.
During this time, southbound Red Line customers who want to exit at Granville, Thorndale or Bryn Mawr should travel to the Berwyn station then board a northbound train to the stop they want. Customers at Granville, Thorndale or Bryn Mawr who want to travel south should board a northbound train to Loyola to access a southbound train.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
