SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WBBM) -- Police in Schaumburg says an apparent barricade situation is over - peacefully - and traffic is getting back to normal in a three-block area that had been blocked off for most of the afternoon.
Schaumburg Police Lt. Kris Provenzano says the apparent standoff ended when the male suspect voluntarily surrendered.
She says no one was injured.
As of 6:45 p.m., Provenzano says she still did not know whether the man had been armed.
