Chicago cops could get reality TV show
|
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- Chicago cops could soon be the latest reality tv stars.
They've been seen in some not-so-flattering videotapes on the internet but, now, Chicago cops could star in their own reality television series.
The Chicago Sun-Times' Michael Sneed reports that producer Gary Sherman has just sold the A&E cable TV network on a pilot called "Missing Persons: Chicago."
It would follow real-life Chicago cops as they search for missing Chicagoans. The project is said to have Chicago Supt. Jody Weis' blessing but still needs approval from the City Council.
The head of the Council's police committee, Ald. Isaac Carothers is enthusiastic, telling the paper, "the show will present a positive light on the police department."
