|
CHICAGO (STNG) -- The FBI is asking for the public's help in finding a fugitive Latin Kings gang member who is the subject of a nationwide manhunt.
Saul Martinez, whose last known address was 4854 S. Pulaski Rd. in Chicago, was originally charged in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in April 2009 with violating federal drug laws, according to a release from the FBI.
Martinez, a known member of the Latin Kings gang, is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, the release said. He is among numerous individuals charged in an investigation named "Operation Broken Dreams," which focused on wholesale cocaine distributors in the Chicago area.
Martinez is believed to be hiding in the Little Village neighborhood with other gang members and is one of only five defendants from the case who remain at large.
He is described as a 6-foot-1, 35-year-old Hispanic man weighing about 240 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and has "King" with a 5-point crown tattooed on his chest, "Martinez" tattooed on his back and other tattoos on his forearms and right hand, the release said.
He has an extensive criminal record and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the FBI.
Anyone recognizing Martinez or having information as to his whereabouts should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
