(WBBM) -- The school buses are still rolling this morning in several Chicago-area school districts. But a drivers' strike could change that.
The bus company and its union are meeting again this morning for more contract talks.
Three west suburban school districts expect normal service for this first day of the week, but, drivers for First Student bus company are still threatening to walk off their jobs, possibly as early as tomorrow.
Brian Rainville, executive director of Teamsters Council 25, says the drivers voted down a tentative contract agreement with new talks set for today.
A strike would affect thousands of students in Indian Prairie District 204, Oswego District 308 and Naperville District 203.
In Oswego 308, officials say schools would stay open in the event of a strike, but, parents would have to make other plans to get their children to and from school.
