CHICAGO (STNG) - Police are seeking two suspects who stole a woman’s purse at gunpoint and struck her with a bottle early Monday in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the North Side.
About 1:55 a.m. a 25-year-old woman was on foot at 1969 N. Halsted St. when she was approached by a male and female, one of whom was armed with a handgun, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The two suspects took her purse and the female offender struck her with a bottle before they fled northbound from the scene in a blue hatchback car, according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
The victim was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she was in good condition, according to Alfaro.
Oz Park is located at 2021 N. Burling St., a couple of blocks away.
The incident is not connected to other recent attacks in the area, according to Perez.
