Joliet, Union Station players come close to Mega Millions
|
CHICAGO (STNG) -- No one matched all six numbers in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, but a couple players -- one in Joliet and the other in the West Loop -- came awfully close.
The estimated grand prize for the multi-state lottery drawing Friday was $12 million. The winning numbers were: 02 - 04 - 06 - 21 and 44 and the Mega Ball was 37.
Three players in Illinois -- one in downstate Neoga, which is just north of Effingham; one who bought a ticket at a store at Union Station in Chicago, and another who bought their ticket at a Dominick's at 2318 Essington Rd. in Joliet -- matched the first five numbers, for a prize of $250,000, according to the Illinois Lottery.
The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday night and the jackpot is estimated to be at least $18 million.
