Pit bull owner gets 18 months for arranging fight

WHEATON, Ill. (STNG)  -- A Lombard man who arranged a dogfight to show off the ferocity of his pit bull, Ace, was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months in prison.

Brian Moll, 22, was sentenced after pleading guilty to felony dogfighting as part of an agreement with prosecutors following his May 23 arrest at a late-night party in the western suburb.

Moll and another Lombard man, 21-year-old Robert Kollman, were charged with staging the dogfight between their pit bulls -- apparently the first dog-fighting charges filed in DuPage County, authorities said.
