Vandals get creative with food in Lindenhurst
|
LINDENHURST, Ill. (STNG) -- Area food pantries could have used what police found all over a house in far north suburban Lindenhurst recently.
The driveway, house and garage were covered with eggs, tomato juice, bologna, bacon and chocolate syrup, police discovered June 27 on the 800 block of Wedgewood Court.
They also found pizza on the roof, bologna draped over a basketball hoop, and chocolate syrup and cereal on the walkway.
Police were investigating a rash of vandalism to mailboxes and a minivan that occurred the same night on the 1800 block of Fairfield Road.
Five mailboxes were knocked down or destroyed and a hole was poked into the bumper of a minivan parked in a driveway. Police interviewed victims and neighbors, but no one heard or saw anything.
