Abducted children safely reunited with family members

MOLINE (STNG) -- Two missing children allegedly taken from their home at knifepoint by their father early Sunday in far west Moline were reunited with relatives Sunday afternoon in Sterling.
About 3:40 a.m., 1-year-old Judith G. Sierra and her 6-month-old brother Delfino Sierra, Jr. were taken from their home at 1857 4th Street in Moline at knifepoint by their father while a 13-year-old nephew was babysitting, according to an Amber Alert issued Sunday morning.
About 4 p.m., the children were dropped off at a relative's house in Sterling -- about 55 miles east of Moline, according to a Moline police dispatcher, who did not know if the children's father was apprehended.
The children were unharmed, the dispatcher said.
The father, Delfino Sierra, who is not married to the children's mother, is described as a 36-year-old, 5-foot-8 Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes.
