Crime stat study reveals most dangerous neighborhoods
CHICAGO (WBBM) - A new look at FBI crime stats suggests some of the most crime-prone hot spots in the country are on the city’s South Side.
The study took FBI crime statistics and Broke down the numbers by portions of neighborhoods. The Chicago Sun-Times reports the neighborhoodscout.com study finds the area around 55th and State as second highest crime-prone area of the United States with three parts of the Englewood neighborhood also coming in in the worst 25.
Those crime hot spots include: 60th and Winchester, 58th and Wallace and 66th and Yale.
