Missing teen girl found 2 days after disappearance
CHICAGO (CBS/STNG) ― A 14-year-old girl missing since she reportedly jumped inside a sport-utility vehicle with a group of men over the weekend was found Monday in the Wicker Park neighborhood.
Precious Walker disappeared Saturday night about 11:30 p.m. after getting into a car at 81st and Sangamon streets in the South Side's Gresham neighborhood, according to Calumet Area detectives.
Walker was found in the 1800 block of West Division Street about 9:30 p.m. Monday, according to a release from police. Sources told CBS 2's Pamela Jones that Walker was at an area hospital being checked as of 11:30 p.m. She was reported in good condition.
On Saturday night, the girl was apparently with her cousin when a car with a group of men approached them in a beige SUV. The men asked Precious to get in the car, but her cousin told them she was just 14-years-old. The girl allegedly told the men she was 17 and got into the car "willingly," according to dispatch reports.
Regardless, her disappearance is being investigated as an abduction, police said.
Police did not have any information on whether anyone was taken into custody for the incident.
