CHICAGO (WBBM) - Chicago police have arrested a man wanted involved in a six-hour standoff with officers Tuesday
Members of local fugitive and gang enforcement units arrested Darius Folds several blocks away from his home near 77th and Kingston around 5:30 p.m.
12 hours earlier, officers responded to a call of domestic battery at the residence.
Officer John Mirabelli tells Newsradio 780 that the 28-year-old Folds allegedly hit a woman with a handgun and then barricaded himself inside the home, threatening suicide.
When officers entered the home at nearly 11 a.m., Folds was gone.
Folds is due in bond court Thursday on charges of aggravated domestic battery and attempted first degree murder.
