BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (STNG) -- A suburban man who went missing during Indiana business trip has been found in Texas with no signs of injury, police said Friday afternoon.
Stephen B. Flood, 46, of the 100 block of Tecumseh Drive in Bolingbrook was reported missing June 4 when he failed to show up for his sons' baseball game.
Bolingbrook police Lt. Ken Teppel said Teppel said Flood's home was invaded the night before while he was away. His wife was attacked during the invasion but not seriously injured.
At 8:15 a.m. Friday, Bolingbrook police were notified by the Dallas (Texas) Area Rapid Transit Police Department that they had located Flood riding on a train without a ticket, according to a release.
When asked for identification, Flood had none and gave a fictitious name. He was arrested on a misdemeanor charge and taken to the Dallas County Jail for processing, the release said.
He appears in good health with no obvious signs of injury, and told arresting officers he decided not to return home because of marital discord, the release said.
Bolingbrook detectives are working with Texas investigators on the case, but Teppel said no charges had been filed in relation to his disappearance.
