New pix of masked men wanted in auto parts store robs
|
CHICAGO (STNG) - Chicago Police have released new photos of two masked men wanted for robberies at two South Side auto parts stores in recent months.
On April 29, the men allegedly entered an AutoZone store, listed at 6450 S. Western Ave., and locked the entrance door, according to a release from Wentworth Area detectives.
 The men, who were armed with handguns, ordered the manager to open the safe in the rear of the store, the release said.
One of the men acted as a “look out” during the robbery, and they both fled in a black, four-door vehicle.
Another robbery occurred on May 19 at another auto parts store, but the location of that incident was not immediately available.
The robbers are described as black men, 17 to 25 years old, 170 to 180 pounds with medium to dark complexions, the release said. The men wore black masks that covered the lower half of their faces and in at least one robbery, a man was wearing a black, zip-up hooded sweatshirt with some sort of shield-shaped logo on it.
