Police seek SUV in hit-and-run
|
CHICAGO, Ill. (STNG) -- Chicago Police announced Saturday it is seeking a sport-utility vehicle in a May 14 hit-and-run that left an elderly woman and child injured as they crossed a street in the Northwest Side’s Albany Park community.
The SUV was traveling west on West Montrose Avenue when it struck an elderly woman and child crossing Montrose at North Kedzie Avenue, according to a Chicago Police release.
The injuries were described as "serious," but further details were not immediately available.
The SUV fled the scene without stopping, the release said.
On Saturday, police said they are looking for a white, four-door SUV, the release said. Further information about the vehicle was not available.
Police are asking for the community’s help locating the vehicle and driver. Anyone with information is asked to call the police Major Accident Investigation Unit at (312) 745-4521.
