CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio 780) -- Jackie Maxwell Brown is facing additional charges of attempted intentional homicide in the death of a 5-month-old fetus. The Kane County man is accused of kicking his 31-year-old pregnant girlfriend, allegedly causing her to miscarry her unborn baby.
Brown was arrested in East Dundee and charged with domestic and aggravated battery last January for the alleged attack on his girfriend. The additional charges were filed Monday after a three month investigation.
Brown is already behind bars on unrelated charges.
East Dundee police say their investigation of the missing fetus is ongoing. Last month authorities launched a two day search of a Kane County forest preserve for the fetus after receiving information it may have been buried there. A plastic bag was recovered and is undergoing testing for evidence.
