Madoff Victim: "I Want Him To Burn In Hell"

CHICAGO (WBBM) -- A Lake Forest widow who says she and her family lost 120 million dollars to Bernard Madoff doesn't mince words about what Madoff's fate should be.
Even though Patricia Gerber says she isn't destitute, she says her life is changing, mainly because she says she and her family have lost 120 million dollars as clients of Bernard Madoff.
She wonders where the S-E-C, the Securities and Exchange Commission, was in all this.
"The thing is, you lose your trust. And I don't feel good about the country. Why didn't the SEC find something out nine years ago? He must have paid them off."
Gerber, whose husband was Oscar L. Gerber of Gerber Plumbing Fixtures, lives on the North Shore and says she plans to sell three houses and downsize to one.
Gerber says she's angry at the way Bernard Madoff has violated so many people - and doesn't want to talk to him, even if she had the chance.
"No, I don't really want to talk to him. I just want him to burn in hell."
