Mother of Urlacher's Child Makes Court Accusations

JOLIET--The mother of Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher's young son wants out of Will County, where she says a black woman does not stand a chance against a big-shot football star.

"With him being a celebrity and me being a black woman, I'm double-whammied," said Tyna Robertson. She wants the case shipped to Chicago or --  failing that -- at least get a new judge to hear it.

Robertson argued the motion herself after her lawyer, Alice Wilson, walked off the case Friday morning.

Wilson said she withdrew from the case because she was angry.

"That's why. I'm tired of lies or whatever," Wilson explained.

"It's a circus," Wilson said. "That's all I've got to say. It's a circus. I'm not saying anything. I'm just glad I'm out."

Robertson proceeded to go it alone throughout Friday morning.

"Alice is a special attorney," she said. "Let's leave it at that."

"If Brian was a black athlete it would be totally different," she said. "If I was a white woman, it would be totally different.

"It all comes down to black, white and No. 54," she said, invoking the number on Urlacher's best-selling Bears jersey.

In her motion, Robertson accused Urlacher of failing to return their child to her in December and telling her, "The judge will make you let me keep him."

"On many occasions Brian would text me messages such as 'You have no pull in court,' 'the judge doesn't like you,' " Robertson said in her motion, adding that Urlacher also told her, " 'She's in my pocket,' and  'She's going to do what I want and you can't do anything,' and 'You have no money, nothing …' "

Robertson alleged the "she" in the messages was Judge Dina Archambeault. The argument to move the case or possibly give it to a new judge was heard Friday by Judge William McMenamin.

Also in her motion, Robertson accused Urlacher's attorney and a lawyer for the Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley of plotting to put her in jail. She didn't spend a full day in jail.

In December, Robertson was picked up on a warrant for contempt of court charges. She missed a court date and has not made any payments on an $11 million judgment against her for making false sexual assault accusations against Flatley. Flatley asked that Robertson be held in contempt.

Robertson was released from custody after a Cook County judge vacated the warrant. She was warned to cooperate with Flatley's attorneys, who are seeking documentation of her assets to collect on the $11 million judgment.

But it was all a set up, Robertson said, writing in her motion that "Brian's attorney and Michael Flatley's attorney conspired to have me arrested so Brian could get custody of Kennedy."

Urlacher's legal team was given time to respond to Robertson's motion. The matter is set to return to court in March.
