(SOUTH ELGIN, Ill.) An 8-year-old boy who had been missing from his northwest suburban home since early Wednesday morning has been found.
South Elgin police received a call just before 9 a.m. Wednesday that a child was missing from his home on the 1200 block of Raymond Street.
Eli Berri's father told police the boy was last seen about 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to a release from police.
The Village Emergency Operations Plan was enacted in cooperation with the South Elgin and Countryside Fire Protection District, for mutual aid and management of response. Local law enforcement agencies including the Kane County Sheriff's police, Illinois State Police, Wayne and Elgin police, and the South Elgin Fire Protection District assisted in the search.
Eli was safely located about 11:35 a.m., according to police.
Police did not immediately have additional details on how or where the boy was found.
