Wilson Station on CTA Will Close for Work



CHICAGO - - Construction will cause the partial closure of the CTA Red Line’s Wilson station this weekend on the North Side.

Northbound Red Line trains will bypass the Wilson station from 8 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. because of work on the platform.

Southbound trains will be rerouted to the Purple Line Express tracks at the Wilson and Sheridan stations. Southbound customers at both stations must board and exit Red Line trains from the Purple Express platforms -- the western-most platform that is normally not in use.

Northbound customers who want to exit at Wilson should travel one top north to the Lawrence station and board a southbound train. Northbound customers who want to board at Wilson should board a southbound train and travel one stop south to the Sheridan station.

Additionally, the auxiliary station entrance along Wilson Avenue witll be closed. Customers will need to enter and exit the Wilson station from the Broadway Street entrance.
