Suspect Attempts to Lure Girl on Way to School

CHICAGO -- Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who attempted to lure a female student to his vehicle last week near Midway Airport.

The man, believed to be in his 30s or 40s, drove an older, dirty four-door Ford Explorer with tinted windows, and gold pinstripes, a release from Wentworth Area detectives said.

The girl was walking to school on Nov. 25 about 7:30 a.m. when the man approached in the 6200 block of West 63rd Street, the release said. The man followed the student and attempted to lure her to his vehicle.

The man had wavy black hair, brown eyes, light complexion, goatee, and was wearing a black shirt.

The public should call (312) 747-8380 with any information on the attempted abduction.
