Driver, 81, Dies After Crashing Into Building



HARVEY --The driver was killed after crashing into a building early Thursday in south suburban Harvey, authorities said.

Leonard Suk, 81, of 14930 Oakdale in Harvey, was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood at 4:50 a.m., according to a Cook County Medical Examiner. The vehicle hit a building at 147th and Green streets in Harvey.

Suk died of multiple injuries from an auto striking a fixed object, according to the autopsy. His death has been ruled an accident.

Emergency crews responded to the crash at 4:12 a.m., according to the Harvey Fire Dept.

Harvey police would not  comment.
