Car Owner Loaned it to Teen

LONG GROVE -- Investigators have identified the owner of a vehicle in which two teens were killed Monday night when a speeding car driven by one struck a fence and crashed into some trees in northwest suburban Long Grove.

A 14-year-girl and 15-year-old boy were killed, and three other passengers -- ages, 8, 13 and 15 -- were critically injured.

Rhonda DeLeon of Waco, Texas, recently purchased the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt for her daughter, Amy A. Hinojosa, 21, of Palatine, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s office. Hinojosa told investigators tshe allowed her friend Daniel Vicario, who she believed was 18, to borrow her car to run an errand.
