FBI Offers $10K Reward For Latin Kings Leader

CHICAGO (STNG)  -- The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of Latin Kings street gang leader charged with overseeing the distribution of cocaine throughout Chicago and the suburbs.

The Chicago Office of the FBI announced Thursday it is offering the reward for information on Vincente Garcia, 30, whose last known address was 556 Emerson Circle or 212 Mill Stream in Bolingbrook.

Garcia has been the subject of a nationwide manhunt, coordinated by Chicago FBI’s Joint Task Force on Gangs, since September, when he was charged in a federal criminal complaint with narcotics possession and weapons offenses, according to a release from the FBI.

Garcia, allegedly a high-ranking member of the Latin Kings, was among 40 gang members and associates charged as the result of an investigation dubbed “Operation Pesadilla,” which targeted gang leadership, the release said.

Garcia, one only five defendants from the case who is still at large, is described as a 30-year-old male Hispanic, 5-foot-11 and 225 pounds with a heavy build, black hair, brown eyes and slight facial hair. There is a tattoo of a crown on his chest and the letters “LK” are tattooed on the back of his shoulder. He is known to use the street names “DK (Disciple Killer),” “Coon” and “Possum.”

Anyone recognizing Garcia or having information on his whereabouts should call the Chicago FBI at (312) 421-6700.
