Nov. 18: Inury Updates

INJURY UPDATE
Five Bears held out of practice, but not QB Kyle Orton. He is absent from the injury report despite a sore right ankle that will likely remain sore for a while.

Receiver Marty Booker (knee), linebacker Darrell McClover (hamstring) and tackle Fred Miller (shoulder) all did not practice.

Defensive tackle Tommie Harris and center Olin Kreutz were given the day off. Sore ankles limited defensive tackle Marcus Harrison and linebacker Nick Roach and a sore neck limited linebacker Jamar Williams.

HESTER HYSTERIA
Admissions of frustration from two-time Pro Bowl kick returner Devin Hester, but not a loss in confidence.

His return average is down sharply, and his personal expectations of multiple touchdowns each season have not been met in the first 10 games. Hester admits the drought has been tough on him as he seeks to regain his edge.

He is also holding the entire return unit accountable, not just himself.

Special team coordinator Dave Toub feels Hester is pressing, but needs to relax and let the returns come to him and be patient.

Everything has to come together on a kick return for it to be successful and that has yet to be the case in 2008.
