CHICAGO (AP) - A Chicago high school teacher is charged with sexual assault and abuse for alleged sexual encounters with three students of the South Side charter school where she worked.
Thirty-seven-year-old Rebecca Daniels is listed as a faculty member at Calumet High School, which is part of the Perspectives Charter Schools group.
According to prosecutors, Daniels allegedly had sex with two students and a former student of the school. One of the boys was 15, and the other two were 16.
Prosecutors said the sexual contact allegedly occurred over the summer and ended October 15. She was held Sunday in lieu of $100,000 bail.
The Calumet High School web site lists her as a speech and drama teacher who moved to Chicago from Ohio. Daniels has been a teacher for 13 years.
There is no telephone listing for Daniels, who could not be reached for comment early Thursday.
