INJURY REPORT
Five players missed Wednesday's practice: Receivers Brandon Lloyd (knee), Marty Booker (back), running back Matt Forte' (rest), safety Danieal Manning (hamstring) and cornerback Charles Tillman (shoulder).
Ten other Bears were limited including three other cornerbacks: Marcus Hamilton (heel), Trumaine McBride (shoulder), and Nathan Vasher (wrist).
The 15 banged up players make up the longest injury report of the season to this point.
The Vikings are missing starting middle linebacker Davvid Herron (hip) and former Bears reciever Bernard Berrian (knee) was limited.
PRACTICE SQUAD
Two additions to the practice squad Wednesday were receiver Mike Has s (again) and newcomer John Broussard a receiver from San Jose State and later a seventh-rround pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars last year. He caught a 47-yard touchdown in the season opener for the Jags last season.
He spent two weeks on the Giants practice squad earlier this season.
BERRIAN EXPLAINS WHY HE'S A VIKING
Briefly answering questions about his decision to take the money and run to Minnesota in free agency, former Bears receiver Bernard Berrian admits a few things:
•Before he would consider resigning with the Bears he wanted to know who the starting quarterback was going to be.
•He figured it would be Rex Grossman and is mildly surprised Kyle Orton won the job.
•He understands why Orton would be the guy given the type of team the Bears have built---one that is reliant on a strong defense.
•He was not surprised the Bears didn't pin the franchise tag on him because he felt they wouldn't invest that much money in him.
•He also said it was tough for him to play receiver in Chicago because of constant change at the quarterback position.
•And he says he gets less attention from safeties in Minnesota because of star running back Adrian Peterson.
Berrian accepted a $42-million dollar, six-year contract from the Vikings in free agency, including $13 million in up front money. It was a blockbuster deal after a 71-catch season in Chicago last year. Berrian shares the NFL lead after six weeks of the season in yards-per-catch(19.8).
