So the dart supplies I have on me (flights, shafts, etc.) that are sold in these bags will now get me in trouble in Chicago? Get a life you freakin' morons (and a brain while you're at it).

Hi Where do they come up with this stuff? Simply prosecute the drug dealers on the streets. It would be nice if the police did things correctly, so that criminals do not have crazy lawsuits with the police department. Honestly, this entire city council needs to go. Want to cut back on drug use, tax it like beer. Yeah, we still have beer, but it's not as glamorous as illegal drugs. And the money saved by not wasting our time and money trying to enforce drug laws can go to rehab. Rehab will NEVER cost as much asthe drug enforcement is costing us, even if we treat people who never had drugs. in my radio controlled flying club we have monthly raffles, generally included in these raffles are bundles of these 2" x 2" bags. We use them for all the hundreds of tiny parts associated with model airplane flight. Not everyone who possesses these bags are committing criminal acts. Be better to enforce a label claiming that use inconsistant with Federal Laws is punishable by a fine and/or imprisonment. Place the warning label on it in 3-5 different languages. Then most everyone would be happy.

This isn't about ending drugs, it is about arresting and convicting people of drug USE (The drug users), NOT the suppliers of the drugs (The Kingpins). For every person arrested, they become income to the state. Housing, food, "treatment", security forces, etc. all put money in someones pocket. If half the money was spent on EDUCATION and ASSISTANCE, then the user source would dry up. But then someone would loose income from the loss of sales of the drugs. Which also points out that those enforcing the current policy also are working hand in hand with the drug suppliers. IF you want a change, stop voting DEMocrap or REPublicrap, go independent! The useful thing this does is give cops a reason to search people who might have drugs, making it more difficult for dealers to hide. I can only hope they use it for tracking and don't actually plan on eliminating the bags...

Just as the handgun ban prevents any illegal guns from being in Chicago, and makes it SUCH a safe place; so a baggie ban will prevent anyone from importing them from the 'burbs.
