Man Charged After Ramming Car Into Ex-Girlfriend's House

JOLIET, Ill. (STNG)  -- A 39-year-old man has been charged with DUI and felony criminal damage to property after a domestic dispute Sunday in unincorporated Joliet led to him ramming his car into a house.

About 8:20 p.m. Sunday, Michael J. Beatz allegedly went to his ex-girlfriend’s home at 420 Davidson. He saw her new boyfriend there and did not like it so he rammed the car of his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, according to Will County Sheriff’s Dept. spokesman Pat Berry.

Beatz then left the residence and returned and rammed the house.

No one was injured but Beatz was charged, Berry said. The house sustained substantial damage but was left habitable.
