Police Alert Issued After Saturday Abduction Attempt SKETCH



CHICAGO--  Police have issued a community alert for the 8th District -- Chicago Lawn -- for an attempted child abduction which happened on Saturday at approximately 5 p.m. in the alley of the vicinity of 6400 South Troy.
 
  Police say an unknown male white offender attempted to abduct a young male victim. The male offender approached the victim in a Dodge Caravan, silver or gray in color, which was being driven by a female white offender.  The male offender then opened the side door of the van and grabbed the victim by his leg and arm and attempted to drag him into the vehicle.  The victim was able to flee from the offender and run to his home.

   The offender continued to follow the victim, and then fled the scene. The victim noticed two other children, one a male white and the other a male black, in the vehicle.

   The offenders are described as a male white, 30-35 years old, 5-10, 190 pounds spiked black hair, wearing a gray t- shirt, camouflage pants and black boots.

   The woman is white, 30-35, with freckles. She has a slim build with black hair combed back in a ponytail and was wearing a blue t-shirt.
