Elgin Mom Accused Of Using Nude Photos To Mend Breakup
(WBBM) - Police in northwest suburban Sleepy Hollow confirm they are actively investigating an Elgin mother accused of using naked pictures to try to win back her daughter's former boyfriend.
WBBM Suburban Bureau Chief Julie Mann reports.
A investigation was launched by police after suburban couple complained their son had received hundreds of intimating emails including one in which the mother of his 13-year-old ex-girlfriend allegedly threatened to post nude photos of him online if he did not reconcile with her daughter.
The police chief in Sleepy Hollow tells the Daily Herald, some of the images may have already appeared on the Internet and that authorities are reviewing computer and cell phone evidence seized from the girl's home . He predicted charges would be filed soon.
The boy's parents reportedly tried unsuccessfully to resolve the situation and went to police after the alleged harrassment of their son continued. The Department of Children and Family Services has also reportedly been made aware of the ongoing police investigation. .
The Daily Herald reports the boy's parents told police their son admitted he and the girl had taken naked photos of themselves while dating, sharing them with each other with their cell phones, but the pictures of the girl no longer exist.
