The Return of Tommie Harris

HARRIS IS BACK
Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris is expected to play Sunday against the Falcons in Atlanta. His one-game team-imposed suspension expired.  It may be difficult for Harris to earn his starting job back given the effort and performance of defensive tackle Israel Idonije.  In addition, rookie Marcus Harrison, and veterans Dusty Dvoracek and Anthony Adams are all making plays.

INJURIES
The only injury of note to come out of the Bears 34-7 win over the Lions was reserve linebacker Nick Roach, who left the game with a dislocated shoulder. It's not certain what his status will be this week.

OFFENSIVE EXCELLENCE
Kyle Orton statistically had his finest game in 23 pro starts against the Lions. Orton was 11-of-14 for 178 yards throwing the ball on first down.

he Lions stacked the box to take away Matt Forte' and Kevin Jones in the run game and Orton took advantage. Overall, the Bears had 15 plays earn 10-plus yards by seven different players including 11 in the passing game. Four pass plays topped 30-yards, after Orton threw only two in the first four games.

GRAHAM CRACKER

An impressive start by Cory Graham at cornerback in Detroit will earn the second year pro more playing time.

e led the defense with ten tackles and is a willing run defender. That alone makes him intriguing to coach Lovie Smith who loves physical corners willing to stick their nose in the opponents run game.

This Sunday, the Bears face the potent Falcons running attack led by North Chicago product Michael  Turner and the speedy scatback Jerious Norwood.
