CPD Officer Pleads Not Guilty In DUI Fatal Crash



CHICAGO (WBBM)  -- A Chicago Police officer charged with driving drunk and getting into a crash that killed two Cicero man last Thanksgiving pleads not guilty Wedensday.

WBBM's Debra Dale Reports.

A judge set John Ardelean's bond at 50-thousand dollars and denied a motion that he surrender his firearms in a court room overflowing with the friends and family of 22 year old Miguel Flores and 21 year old Erick Lagunas.

Ardelan had previously been charged in the case, but the original charge was dropped.  Just last week he was indicted on reckless homicide and aggravated DUI charges.

He'll be back in court on November 7th.
