SUV Stolen With Three Children Inside

CHICAGO (WBBM)  -- Chicago police officer, Daniel O'Brien confirms that three children who were inside a parked SUV, when it was stolen this morning are safe.

WBBM's Debra Dale Reports

The children were sitting in a black 2000 Chevrolet Suburban at 71st Street and Indiana Avenue when someone got into the vehicle around 11:35 a.m. and drove off.

He says minutes later, the children were dropped off outside a home in the 1500 block of East 72nd Street.

They are believed to be in good condition but have been taken to a hospital as a precaution.

O'Brien says it appears the driver had gotten out of the SUV and left the keys in the vehicle.  He did not know whether it was running or not, but said it was not a carjacking.

The SUV is still missing.
