CHICAGO (STNG/WBBM) -- A city Department of Revenue employee was shot while booting a car on the South Side, Monday.
Police News Affairs Director Monique Bond says the employee was shot by the owner of the car and is in serious condition. The shooter has been identified but is still at large.
The shooting occurred on the 8400 block of South Dante Avenue on Monday morning, according to a Calumet Area lieutenant, who said they are on the scene as of 12:15 p.m.
According to preliminary reports, the city employee was putting the boot on a car when he was shot, the lieutenant said. Fire Media Affairs Assistant Director Eve Rodriguez said he was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
