CHICAGO (WBBM) - You may not have started sneezing yet - but just wait.
WBBM's Steve Miller reports fall allergy season is here.
Where does Chicago rank in the list of worst cities for allergies?
We've been looking into the latest pollen counts.
It was the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America that did the pollen counting - and ranked 100 cities from worst place for allergies - to the best place to avoid them.
And foundation spokesman Mike Tringale says there wasn't a lot of difference between the best city and the worst city.
"We look at the pollen in those areas for the fall season. We look at the number of allergy medications used by patients... as well as the number of board-certified allergists."
Best city to avoid allergies? Portland, Oregon. Worst place? Greensboro, North Carolina.
And Chicago? It comes in at number 86 - so it's on the good end of the scale.
We should point out that this whole thing is sponsored by McNeil, the producers of an allergy medication who want you to stop sneezing by taking their product.
