CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio 780) -- A volunteer track and field coach from Joliet Township High school has been indicted for allegedly having sex with eight underage girls.
Will County State's attorney James Glasgow tells Newsradio 780 that 21-year old Marcus Grocesley has been indicted on 11 counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of criminal sexual abuse. The abuse charges, according to the indictment, relate to Grocesley allegedly giving two of the girls sexually transmitted diseases, namely herpes and chlamydia.
All of the victims are apparently under the age of 17 and all girls all attend joliet township except two, the state's attorney said.
According to published reports, Marcus Grocesley was first arrested in March for having sex with two student athletes. At the time, the Joliet police chief said the sex was consentual..
Grocesley is currently at the Will County Jail. Bond is set at $500,000.
