Man Charged With Robbing Gas Station - Three Times

BOLLINGBROOK, Ill. (STNG)  -- The third time was not the charm for a man who allegedly robbed a southwest suburban gas station three times.

Bolingbrook police were called about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday to the Speedway station at 499 W. Boughton Rd., where an armed robbery had just occurred.

The employees provided a detailed description of a suspect, who was found in the area by police a short time later, according to a release from police. Investigation later linked the suspect to two previous robberies at the station over the last six months.

Sean E. Gallagher, 31, of 212A Hudson Ct. in Bolingbrook was arrested and charged with three counts of armed robbery, all to the same Speedway station, the release said.

The prior robberies occurred on Dec. 17, 2007, and June 18, the release said. Gallagher was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
