EVANSTON, Ill. (STNG) -- An 11-month-old Chicago girl found inside an Evanston home on Monday was murdered, according to an autopsy Tuesday.
Clarashea Hebron, of 72 E. 59th St. in Chicago, died at Children's Memorial Hospital at 7:21 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s.
An autopsy Tuesday revealed Clarashea died of multiple injuries resulting from child abuse, the medical examiner’s office said. Her death has been ruled a homicide.
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services spokesman Kendall Marlowe said Tuesday the agency is investigating Clarashea’s death.
DCFS has had not prior contact with the parents and there were no other children in the home, Marlowe said.
Evanston police responded Monday afternoon to 2025 Dodge Ave., according to an officer, who said police were initially conducting a death investigation and were awaiting autopsy results.
