CHICAGO (STNG) - Former Beatle Ringo Starr is spending his 68th birthday in Chicago, and the ex-Beatle is holding a downtown peace party of sorts today at noon.
No problem if you can't attend the event at the Hard Rock Hotel, 230 N. Michigan. He's asking everyone around the world to flash a peace sign at the stroke of noon, local time, the drummer's spokesperson announced last week.
Starr's effort is a global one, as he has been asking the international community to join him in making the peace sign and "saying, singing, shouting, whispering, signing, writing or quietly thinking one simply beautiful and universal message: 'Peace & Love.'"
