Alcohol Involved in Crash Which Leaves Three Children Hurt Badly

CHICAGO -- Three children are in critical condition after what appears to be an alcohol-fueled crash on the South Side early Saturday.

A crash possibly involving two vehicles occurred about 2:45 a.m. near 99th Street and Princeton Avenue, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.

Three children were taken to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition and one adult was taken to University of Chicago Hospitals in fair condition, Langford said.

An EMS Plan 1 response was called for the crash, Langford said. Alcohol appeared to be involved, he said.
Further details are pending the accident investigation
