CHICAGO -- A 4th of July celebrant is hospitalized with second-degree burns after his clothing caught fire during an Independence Day cookout. It happened late Friday in the 5400 block of South Justine Street, said Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford.
The at the grill became engulfed in flames after adding too much lighter fluid to the coals, Langford said. The porch of the residence also caught fire. The man was "pretty badly burned" on the front of his body and was found by responding paramedics in his yard, Langford said.
