Peterson Caught Speeding

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP)  -- Drew Peterson says he was on his way to help a 22-year-old woman he knows when he was pulled over for speeding in Chicago's western suburbs.

Peterson was stopped at 2:30 in the morning on Saturday in Naperville.

He didn't get a ticket and police, instead, gave him a warning.

Peterson's suspected in the October disappearance of his wife, Stacy, but he hasn't been charged.

The former Bolingbrook police sergeant says he was pulled over as he drove to pick up the woman he describes as a friend after she called him for a ride.

Peterson's attorney says the woman works at a tanning salon he sometimes visits.
