DUNHAM -- Steven J. Kunkel died when the motorcycle he was riding collided with an SUV in an unincorporated area of Dunham Township near northwestern Harvard.
A 2001 Toyota Sequoia was north on Route 14. It collided head-on with a southbound 1975 Harley Davidson in the northbound lane just north of Lindwall Road about 9:20 p.m., according to the McHenry County Sheriff.

Everyone in the Toyota was wearing seatbelts;the airbags deployed.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
