Body Washes Up On Foster Avenue Beach



CHICAGO (STNG)  -- A body was discovered washed up from Lake Michigan onto rocks at a North Side beach Friday.
 
About 12:10 p.m., the police Marine Unit responded to the 5100 block of North Simonds Drive for a death investigation, according to police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti.

A body of an unknown age and gender was found at the Simonds Drive address, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office at 2 p.m.

A source said the body was washed up onto rocks on the Foster Avenue beach.

Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
