CHICAGO (STNG)  -- A man who implied he had a gun robbed a Roscoe Village bank branch about a block away from the Belmont Area police headquarters Monday afternoon.

The robbery happened about 1:55 p.m. at the North Community Bank branch on the 3400 block of North Western Avenue, according to a report from the police First Deputy Superintendent's office.

A man described as a black male 35-45 years old approached a teller at the bank and demanded money, while implying he had a gun in his jacket pocket, the report said.
